DESCRIPTION:How can you create open digital tools that run on both the Clou
d and the Edge for small/medium farms across Greek vineyards\, French catt
le ranches\, and Belgian potato fields? The OpenAgri project\, funded by t
he EU Horizon program and now part of the Linux Foundation's AgStack\, has
developed reusable Python tools for this purpose. These building blocks\,
using Python Web frameworks such as Django and FastAPI\, are already bein
g tested in 14 real-world sustainability pilots across Europe.\n\nIn this
presentation\, we will show how Python is helping farmers\, from camera-ba
sed scouting in vineyards to UHF RFID cattle monitoring\, UAV pest detecti
on\, IoT smart irrigation\, and compost production monitoring. We will tal
k about what works across different countries\, the challenges that arise
when your "data centre is a barn"\, and what still needs improvement.\n\nJ
oin us to hear farming stories from across Europe and learn practical less
ons on deploying Python microservices on Edge devices to build a more demo
 cratised agritech landscape in Europe.
